The National Monuments Service's description
Overgrown abandoned 2-storey house, over basement; built 1814 by Stawells to replace earlier house (14923) c. 40m to SW (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 4, 145). Entrance front (S) of 3 bays, central round-headed door ope concealed by porch. Tripartite windows in ground floor with curved limestone sills and plaster surrounds. Side elevation of 4 bays, some windows in E elevation have 18th-century moulded sills, probably removed from earlier house. Central round-headed stairway window to rear with curved frame. Hipped roof with central valley, 2 off-centre chimneys.
