The National Monuments Service's description
In low-lying marshy ground, c. 150m E of Awbeg River. Circular, slightly raised area (22.1m N-S; 19.2m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.35m); external fosse (D 0.6m). Entrance (Wth 2m) to S. Interior mainly grass-covered; mature trees growing on bank and edge of interior. Not a typical location for ringfort. On demesne of Velvetstown House; according to local information, once used as 'duck cover'.
