The National Monuments Service's description

Bowman (1934, 375) recorded standing stone on Ed. Kiely's land, '...1ft 10in high and 11ft 9in in girth'. Exact location not known. There were also nine other stones in same field 'varying in height from 1ft 6in to 2ft 6in...removed many years ago...now lying by the boundary fence' (ibid.). Bowman was unable to obtain any information on original position of stones.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
