The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered in 1986 during construction of Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline (Gowen 1988, 179; pers. comm. M. Gowen). Shallow irregular pit (max. diam. 0.4m) lying 0.3m S of well-defined post-hole; both filled with loose, dark, charcoal-flecked soil. Neolithic house and pit (9817,13857) 350m to SW.
