The National Monuments Service's description
In wood, built against natural slope. Random-rubble limestone walls encase earthen core. Front elevation (H c. 4.25m; Wth c. 6m) faces NNW; recess (H 3m; Wth 2.5m; D 2.25m) corbelled and topped by lintel, sloping slabs at rear. Side walls much collapsed. Slightly oval limestone-lined funnel (2.25m E-W; 2m N- S).
