In level rough grazing. Trapezium-shaped area (76m N-S; at N side 59.6m E-W; at S side 35m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.2m) with external fosse (D 1m) and shallow second fosse (D 0.2m) c. 3m outside first. Bank survives best on E side where there is break at N end. On S side bank noticeably lower. West bank low and wide with breaks in two places (near S end: Wth 4m; near N end: Wth 2.1m). Break in N bank (Wth 7m) close to W end, now blocked by stone wall with 1m gap remaining; bank to E of gap wide with outer face raised and shallow depression inside; lime kiln (ruined) incorporated into NE corner of bank. Growth of rushes along outer shallow fosse except at NE corner. Interior pocked with quarry pits. On 1937 OS 6-inch map, stream shown flowing from NW corner to join Awbeg River c. 1.26km to N.
