The National Monuments Service's description
In NW quadrant of graveyard (14570). Only W gable of church (8.94m N-S), with very short returns of N and S walls, now stand; shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as rectangular structure (c. 10m E-W) 'in ruins'. Recent consolidation of gable has squared off top and created artificial slope down to surviving low height of SE corner; NE corner survives to full height. Area of church to E crowded with burial plots. Remains of parish church of Liscarroll; reported 'in ruins' in 1615 (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 304). Reduced to W gable alone by 1839 (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 4, 26).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
