On break in NW-facing slope, at interface of wet ground to N and NW and drier, rising ground to S. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (25m NNW-SSE; 19m ENE-WSW; H 0.4m); opening facing NNW. Two forestry trenches (Wth 0.85m; D 0.8m) 11m apart, cut through mound on NNW-SSE axis, bisecting the eastern arm and clipping NW edge of western arm. Second fulacht fiadh (15265) c. 100m to SW; third (15267) c. 200m to SW; fourth (15266) c. 170m to SSW. Possibly one of four fulachta fiadh recorded in townland by Bowman (1934, 381): one each in Maurice Culhane's, Mr Cagney's, Thomas Field's and Patrick O'Regan's land. (O'Shaughnessy 1997)
