The National Monuments Service's description

Listed as a 'levelled circular enclosure' in the SMR (1988) and as a 'quarry' in the RMP (1998). Depicted as an egg-shaped depression (c. 30m E-W; c. 20m N-S) on the 1842 OS 6-inch map, with a lime kiln built at the S edge. No visible surface trace of a depression or a lime kiln was evident when visited in 1984. This is probably a quarry associated with the lime kiln.
