The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture. Circular area (36.7m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.55m), low E->S due to slippage into fosse; external fosse (D 0.4m). Rubble dumped against outer face of bank and in fosse W->NE; branches dumped in fosse SW->W. No visible surface trace of limekiln depicted on S bank on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Break (Wth c. 3.2m) in bank to NE; gap worn through bank to W (Wth 1m) and to NW (Wth 1.1m). Interior raised above outer field level; S half overgrown with blackthorn bushes. According to local information, burial ground (see CO015-158---) in interior. Kilpatrick Fort (CO015-067---) in same field c. 90m to W.
