The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) on 1842, 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps; lime kiln marked on WNW bank on 1842 OS 6-inch map. According to local information, levelled in 1969. Bank to W may survive in field boundary with shallow external fosse; no visible surface trace of remainder of enclosure in field. May be single-ramparted fort (diam. 45yd) recorded by Bowman (1934, 385) on Mrs O'Connell's land, with fosse infilled, rampart 7ft H and interior c. 3ft higher than outer field level. Possible souterrain (CO015-164---) c. 18m to W of ringfort.
