The National Monuments Service's description

Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In level pasture, c. 22m to ESE of standing stone (10174). Stone (H 1.48m; 1m x 2m) is subrectangular in plan with vertical quartz veins; split in two vertically through one of these veins. Long axis E-W. Noted as stone (b) by Bowman (1934, 125) who recorded a total of 4 stones; stone (a) stands c. 22m to WNW (10174); there is no visible surface trace of the other two stones: stone (c) was 'recumbent, 7 yards N of (a) 3ft 8in long, by 2ft 1in by 1ft 4in' (ibid.), stone (d) was also 'recumbent, 7ft East of (c) 3ft 2in long, by 1ft 10in by 11in' (ibid.).
