The National Monuments Service's description

Remains of early 20th century lime kiln in small gravel quarry. Partially collapsed random rubble walls encase earthen core. Front elevation (H 4m; Wth 5.2m) faces W; ledge over recess to support lean-to. Stone arched recess (H 1.88m; Wth 2m; D 1.8m) with sloping slabs at rear. Stone-lined circular funnel. Disused trackway connects rear of kiln to early 20th century road to S.
