The National Monuments Service's description

Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as hachured irregular enclosure on S side of rock outcrop; on 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps as hachured penannular raised area open to N, where quarry cuts into interior. In pasture, on E-facing slope. Interior defined by scarp (H 0.8m) NE->SW; much of NE quadrant quarried away; enclosing bank to N levelled c. 1976-1986. Interior surface uneven and broken by rock outcrop; crossed by low NE-SW field boundary. According to local information, tradition of burials here.
