In pasture, on N side of stream. Horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (14.9m N-S; 18m E-W; H 1.2m); opening (Wth 5.6m) faces W. Northern 'arm' of mound longer than southern; small depression (diam. 1m) to rear of opening on W side of mound. In boggy ground, immediately to SE, two worked oak timbers found in 1986: larger piece (L 5.8m; Wth 0.35m), broken at both ends, has roughly central channel (Wth 0.12m; D 0.05m) cut along its length; smaller piece has U-shaped end with bevelled inner edges.
