The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture. Densely overgrown, rectangular area (c. 40m NNW-SSE; c. 30m ENE-WSW) defined by earthen bank (ext. H c. 3.3m to base of fosse) to NNW and WSW and by scarp to ENE and SSE; wide, waterlogged external fosse (Wth c. 6-8m) on all sides. Entrance (Wth 6m) at centre of WSW bank, with remains of stone facing on N side; fosse shallow on this side. Interior inaccessible due to overgrowth; remains of structure visible through overgrowth at SSE side; depicted as rectangular area (c. 10m by c. 4m) defined by broken line on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Semicircular annexe (straight side 43.2m SSE-NNW; projecting 32m to WSW) adjoins WSW side; defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.65m) SSE->NW and by scarp NW->NNW, and by straight ENE side; external fosse SE->NNW, with straight side sharing WSW fosse of moated site. Interior of annexe under pasture; slight depression noted inside base of bank to W and N; slightly raised area (16.6m x 10.6m; H 0.2m) in S half.
