The National Monuments Service's description
In Milford. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map as T-shaped structure (long axis E-W, arms at E end) named 'R.C. Ch.'; indicated on 1904 map as unnamed ruin. Nave removed, leaving arms which are rectangular in plan (long axis N-S); this was converted into 2-storey store but is now vacant. Round-headed window in N gable, blocked window in S gable has more pointed appearance. Pointed window opes in E and W elevations modified when structure converted to store. Lewis (1837, vol. 2, 53) described it as a 'commodious modern building'. Built on site of old mill (15235) in early 19th century, replacing Shronaphookeen chapel which was c. 1.8km to SW (Ó Donnagáin 1990, 71). Itself replaced in 1903 by present Catholic Church situated c. 100m to E: rectangular church of 5 bays with side aisles, trefoil lights in clerestory; bellcote atop W gable; rusticated stone work.
