The National Monuments Service's description
On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to Carrwobane townland in Clonderlaw Bay. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 312) as a ‘tick-shaped head weir at LWM in estuarine clays on S bank of channel in middle of Clonderlaw Bay. Two converging fences of vertical roundwood posts and split stakes. Shore fence oriented NE-SW, 20m long, with posts and stakes 8-13m in diameter, spaced at 30-50cm intervals and standing to heights of 40cm. Flood fence 10m long. Radiocarbon-dated to 250 +/- 30 BP (cal. AD 1522-1941; GrN-20144). July 1992.' (O'Sullivan 2001, 312, Clonderlaw Bay 3)
