Meelick Bridge traverses the Crompaun River or Meelick Creek connecting the townland of Clonconane in County Limerick to Meelick in County Clare.  The present 19th-century road bridge may have been built on the site of the medieval bridge that is depicted on the 17th-century Down Survey map of the Barony of North Liberties (Hib. Reg.;  BL Add MS 72870/14).  Present day road bridge described by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage as a; ‘Single-arched humpback road bridge, built c. 1800, over the River Crompaun or Meelick Creek. Rubble limestone and sandstone walls. Extended to north elevation. Red brick voussoirs to round-headed arch’ (NIAH Reg. No. 21900501).  Cross referenced with LI005-038----.

Hibernia Regnum: A set of 214 barony maps of Ireland dating to the period AD 1655-59. The original parish maps have been lost but the Hibernia Regnum maps are preserved in the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris (Goblet 1932, v-x). Photographic facsimiles of these maps were published by the Ordnance Survey, Southampton in 1908.
