The National Monuments Service's description
On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to the townland of Portdrine. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 305) as post-medieval ‘multiple post alignments (at least five rows) running down the foreshore, all oriented NW-SE, 80-100m long, 35m wide. The strongest posts were situated at the downstream side, with heavy branches and poles used as wattle, stones laid beside fences and rows of diagonal braces to the E and W. March 1999.'
