The National Monuments Service's description
Situated c. 280m E of Bush Island on the Shannon Estuary. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 302) as a post-medieval ‘Large L-shaped structure (of post-and-wattle fence, vertical posts and downstream braces) immediately SW of Bush Island 13. Oriented N-S; flood fence 24m long, shore fence 105m long. Mouth faces upstream as ebb weir. July 2000.’ (O’Sullivan 2001, 206-7, 302, Bush Island 14)
