The National Monuments Service's description

Listed as ‘Earthwork’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A row of hachures was visible on the 1922 OS 6-inch map. This location is hachured and named ‘Gravel Pit (Disused)’ on the OS 25-inch map. A scarp described during inspection in 2002 is most likely associated with the construction of the adjacent concrete yard.
