The National Monuments Service's description
Situated immediately N of a bad bend in the road, c. 300m E of Kilkishen Castle (CL043-025----). A subcircular area (max. ext. diam. c. 38m) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (at S: int. H 0.48m; Wth 5m; ext. H 0.9m) with an external fosse W-NE (Wth 2.1m at NW) and a low external bank (Wth 6.65m; H 0.35-0.45m at NW) from W to N. Hachured on the OS 25-inch map but not indicated on the OS 1840 or 1922 6-inch maps. A pathway cutting through the centre from NE to SW is shown on the 25-inch map and may have resulted in the entrance-like feature (Wth 2.3m) at SSW. The interior, which is uneven and slopes to the SE, is very overgrown with brambles and some large mature trees. Several other mature trees grow outside the perimeter, close to the road. Another ringfort (CL043-024----) lies 450m to the NW.
