The National Monuments Service's description

A number of pit-burials with cremations as well as a large number of post-holes and stake-holes were excavated in 1999 in advance of the construction of the N18/N19 Ballycasey to Dromoland Road Improvement Scheme (Licence no. 99E0350). A number of associated stone artifacts and pottery were also found. (Grant 2000, 9; Grant 2000a; Tarbett-Buckley and Hull 2002, 15).
