The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the west bank of the Fergus estuary, adjacent to Lissan West townland. A short discontinuous alignment (L 6m) of at least 9 vertical wooden posts (diam. 0.08-0.1m), aligned NE-SW. This possibly represents a post-medieval stake weir, designed to catch fish on the ebbing tide. It may have been taken apart to facilitate the larger structure downstream (CL041-181002-) which would account for its irregular construction. (O’Sullivan 2001, Fergus estuary west 4, 219, 298)
