The National Monuments Service's description
On the gentle N slopes of a ridge with marshy ground to the N. Listed as 'enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A circular area (diam. 16m) defined by a low bank (Wth 8m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.1m) reduced to a scarp (H 0.6-0.7m) NW-SE, separated by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 7-10m) from an outer bank (Wth 2.5-4m; int. H 0.3-0.6m; ext. H 0.5-0.7m) which is incorporated into a field bank E-S (max. ext. diam. 46.5m NE-SW; 44.5m NW-SE). An entrance (Wth 1.7m) in the outer bank at ENE is probably original. The site is bisected by a NW-SE townland boundary and is grass-covered to NE and overgrown to SW of this feature.
