The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, with undulations as a result of rock outcrop close to the surface. There is evidence of quarrying activity c. 20m to SW and c. 60m to W of this location. Not depicted on OS historic mapping but an enclosure was indicated by T.J. Westropp on a set of 1840 OS 6-inch maps (SMR file). Not visible at ground level. There are small irregular mounds in this area but they appear to be a direct result of either quarrying or land improvements.
