The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle SSE-facing slope, in improved rough pasture, overlooking the Cappalaheen River to SE. A roughly circular area (21m N-S; 19.5m E-W) defined by the remains of a bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.5m; Wth at top 1.5m; overall Wth 4.85m) which has almost been reduced to a scarp. The bank is best preserved WSW-NW. An external fosse (overall Wth 3.4m; D 0.2m) is visible intermittently and is best preserved SSW-NNE. The interior has a gentle S-facing slope and is obscured for the most part by large dead boughs and branches which have fallen from mature oak trees which align the bank. An uprooted oak tree lies in the centre and on the bank at S.
