The National Monuments Service's description

On top of a distinct hillock, in improved pasture, with excellent views in all directions from this vantage point. A large circular area (diam. 36m) defined by the remains of a bank which has been reduced to a scarp (Wth 3.3m; H 0.9m) NE-SE and WSW-W. The scarp is incorporated into a field boundary (long-axis NNE-SSW) around the eastern arc. Short portions of bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m; Wth at top 1.2m; overall Wth 3.55m) are evident SE-WSW and NW-N. The enclosing elements have been levelled out N-NE in relatively modern times and the material has been spread out to create a ramp up into the interior. The interior is clear and has a gentle E-facing slope. There are traces of an outer fosse (Wth 1.75m; D 0.15m) which is best preserved N-NE, in places around the eastern arc, at SE and at SW. According to local information, potatoes were grown within the interior during the famine years and in modern times silage is baled here in dry weather. An enclosure (CL035-120----) lies c. 380m to N.
