The National Monuments Service's description

In beech woodland, in a generally level area, amongst a network of field walls. Recorded by Westropp (1914-16, 66) as a small enclosure which he labelled ‘H’ on his map ‘Gorteen Group of Forts’. He describes it as ‘a barely traceable ring’. Depicted on the 25-inch OS map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m). A curvilinear drystone wall at this location (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.5m; Wth at top 1.3m; overall Wth 3.3m) forms an arc (C 20m) WSW-N-NNE and may be the remains of the monument noted by Westropp. The remainder of the possible enclosing elements appear to have been removed. The interior is slightly higher where the enclosing elements survive. A previously unrecorded hut site (CL035-169----) is located c. 18m to SE.
