The National Monuments Service's description
On a SW-facing slope, in an area of scrub in otherwise improved, gently undulating pasture with reasonable views of low-lying countryside. An oval area (c. 27m N-S; c. 34m E-W) defined by a substantial collapsed wall (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.1m; Wth at top 4.5m; overall Wth 11m) NE-SE which appears to be best preserved at NE and is low and degraded by livestock SE-NE. There are large field clearance stones heaped on top of the enclosing elements W-N. Thorn trees and other vegetation grow within and around the monument. The interior has a SW-facing slope and is densely overgrown across the southern half, where it is largely impenetrable and is accessible across northern half, albeit limited. There are piles of moss-covered stones in places which may derive from field clearance or may potentially have formed part of a disturbed internal structure. In two cases, it is not feasible to get a clear view of these to define them as part of a structure. A third instance may be a possible hut site which abuts the interior of the bank at NE, where the enclosing elements are best preserved, however it could represent slippage of the collapsed wall material at this high point. A field wall (long-axis NW-SE) is c. 4m to NE.
