The National Monuments Service's description

On low-lying, generally level ground, in pasture. Depicted on the 1840 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a small rectangular feature (c. 7.2m NE-SW; c. 5.3m NW-SE) which is named ‘Dermot & Grania’s Bed’ and named on later OS historic mapping as ‘Dermot & Grania’s Bed (site of)’. Westropp (1902-04, 115) describes this monument as ‘a small cist of four stones and a cover [which] has been removed since 1839’. A group of four orthostats (overall dims. c. 4m N-S; c. 6m E-W) no longer forming any above ground structure. The first stone (L 2m; Wth 1.25m; T 0.5m) to E, is a table-top stone and is partially covered in briars at the NE end. The second stone (L 1.2m; Wth 1m; T 0.25m) is abutting to W and is partially covered in briars at the NE end. A third stone (L 1.4m; Wth 1.1m; T 0.65m) is located c. 0.9m to W. A fourth stone (L 1.5m; Wth 1m; T 0.9m) is c. 1.3m to N and is completely obscured by ivy on its surface and further enclosed by briars and thorn trees. These stones all appear to be of a pocked limestone covered in moss. Rock outcrop is noted close to SE, W and NW of this stone group. A thicket of thorn trees with rock outcrop is located c. 20m to the S.
