The National Monuments Service's description
The more easterly of two bridges depicted on a 17th-century drawing by Thomas Dineley (1681) across the river Fergus immediately adjacent to Clonroad Castle (CL033-084001-). In the drawing the bridge is of stone with four arches linking the castle with further settlement on the N bank. The location has been plotted in relation to what is shown on the drawing.
