The National Monuments Service's description
A watermill, in the precinct of the Franciscan Friary (CL033-082001-) was granted to James Neylon in 1570 and the friary with all its appurtenances including the mill were conveyed to William Dongan in 1621. The precise location of this mill is unknown. (Bradley, Halpin and King 1988, 54; Ó Dálaigh 2012, 14, 16)
