Situated between Ennis Friary (CL033-082001-) and the River Fergus. Ó Dálaigh (2012, 2) refers to the site of a small castle (CL033-082035-) protecting a quay in the river where boats docked to land their cargoes. The Inchiquin manuscripts (373) note a ‘Slipp or place for a bote reserved’ with the date 1672, as cited in Ó Dálaigh (2012, 21). The precise location is unknown.
