The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise in an area of rolling pasture with excellent views to E and W, restricted somewhat to S and with hazel woodland to the N. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Indicated on the 1840 OS 6-inch map as an embanked oval enclosure and hachured on the 1921 ed. On inspection in January 2017 this was found to be an irregular enclosure rounded at N defined by a drystone wall (Wth up to 1m; H up to 1m) with entrances at N (Wth 1m) and S (Wth 2.3m). The interior is uneven and natural. There are no indications that the wall is built on an earlier enclosure.
