The National Monuments Service's description

A bullaun stone is indicated on the 1920 OS 6-inch map at ITM 569762, 685337 on Inis Cealtra. It is described by Macalister (1916-17, 143) as a stone (2ft 7in [0.78m] by 1ft 9in [0.53m] by 1ft 5in [0.43m]) with an oval depression (1ft 5in [0.43m] by 1ft [0.3m]; D 5in [0.12m]) ‘towards the north shore of the island’. On inspection on 21 July 2015 the area was found to be very overgrown and the bullaun stone was not located.
