The National Monuments Service's description
At the crest of the N-facing slope of a drumlin. Hachured as a circular area on the 1840 and 1920 OS 6-inch maps. A subcircular scrub-covered area (int. diam. 29m E-W; 24m N-S) defined by a stone spread (Wth 3.8-5.2m generally to 9.5m at S; int. H 0.1-0.4m generally to 0.6m at S; ext. H 0.3-0.8m) with internal and external stone facing visible, especially at NW and E (original Wth 2-2.5m). The interior is bisected by an E-W field wall and an area of rock outcrop (H 0.8m) is WSW of centre. The perimeter E-S has been truncated by the NE-SW railway line, while the perimeter S-W is also damaged.
