The National Monuments Service's description

Sitting upright in the chancel of Rath church (CL025-084001-). A graveslab (Wth 0.82m; H 0.43m; T 0.1m) with the following inscription in incised capital letters 'The tomb under this vault was built by Christopher the son of Brian MacMurrough O'Brien in the year of our Lord God 1697.' The letters IHS are beneath the inscription. (Westropp 1898-1900, 375)
