The National Monuments Service's description

There is a subrectangular walled bawn (31m N-S; c. 13m E-W) to the E of Dromore tower house (CL025-078----). The N wall (L 13.5m; max. H 1.2m at NE) is bonded to the wall of the tower house and there is a gap for the modern N-S path. The S bawn wall is 0.8m in height and 1m thick. The E side is completely overgrown. The W wall stops short of the SE angle of the tower house and does not bond with it visibly above ground level. To W of the tower house there is a rectangular platform of limestone (Wth 8m) which is just above the level of the lake and has a fairly straight W edge as if it deliberately formed a pier.
