The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight rise in pasture, overlooking Lough Atedaun c. 140m to the W. Hachured on both the first (1842) and Cassini (1920) editions of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This subcircular rath (int. diam. 33m N-S; ext. diam. 40.1m N-S; 39.1m E-W) is defined by a broad, low earthen bank (Wth 3-3.5m; int. H 0.3-0.7m; ext. H 0.3-0.7m) incorporating a large stone (L 1.3m; Wth 1m) at E. The bank is reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) from E-S.
