The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle NW-facing slope in mixed rough pasture and hazel scrub. This small wedge tomb (L 1.6m; Wth c. 1m; H 0.8m) is embedded in the N sector of a low circular cairn (diam. 5.5m) retained by kerbstones, some of which (L 0.8-0.9m) at S have fallen outwards. Later stone walls radiate SW, SE and N from the tomb, with a barely perceptible D-shaped enclosure (int. dims. 4m E-W; 3m N-S) defined by a grass-covered wall abutting the N side of the SE wall and partly overlying the E side of the cairn. The NW quadrant of the cairn has been removed, in the area between the walls radiating N and SW from the tomb. The tomb chamber comprises two almost parallel slabs set on edge, orientated roughly E-W. The N sidestone (L 1m; H 0.8m; T 0.15-0.2m) is orientated WNW-ESE. The S sidestone (L 1.6m; H 0.7m) is positioned 0.65m away from the N sidestone at the W, and 0.5m away at the E. Within the cairn to the N of the chamber are two upright stones in a N-S line, which may be part of the later wall extending N from the tomb. To the S of the tomb and within the cairn is a small platform (c. 1.2m N-S; c. 0.55m E-W) defined by scarps on the W and S sides. To the S of this platform there are several upright stones at the centre of the cairn, which do not appear to be part of another tomb chamber. There is another wedge tomb (CL017-015004-) c. 88m to the SE.
