The National Monuments Service's description

On a low-lying SW-facing slope of reclaimed pasture in undulating landscape and within an extensive field system (CL009-059001-). Hachured on the 1916 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and named ‘Sheepfold’ on the 1897 ed. of the OS 25-inch map. A subrectangular area (diams. 25.7m E-W; 18.7m N-S) defined by a very slight scarp (Wth c. 2m; H 0.3m). The scarp is most prominent at the W end of the N side (H 0.8m) and traces of the inner edge of the bank can be seen (Wth c. 4m). Some of this scarp might be natural especially at the E side. Two enclosures (CL016-020011- and CL016-020006-) are located c. 52m to the NE and c. 57m to the SW respectively.
