The National Monuments Service's description
At the top of a S-facing slope in pasture with excellent views all around, particularly over the sea to the S. A subcircular enclosure defined from NW to NE by an earthen bank (Wth 5.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.36m) and by a steep scarp (H 1m) from NE-SE. The scarp peters out from SE to W. A field wall crosses the site from W to NE. This wall is broken down where it centres on the fort.
