The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture on an E-facing slope. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). This is hachured as a circular feature on the OS 6-inch map (1916) and is indicated as sand pit on the OS 6-inch 1st edition map. On inspection in 1998 it was found to be a quarry (diam. 45m N-S; D 3.2m).
