In undulating marshy pasture with clear views in all directions, c. 80m W of a N-flowing stream that forms the townland boundary with Cloongarve. Hachured on the Cassini edition (1916) of the OS 6-inch map. Classified as an enclosure in the RMP (1996). A large oval earth and stone mound (35m E-W; 30m N-S; H 2.5m over W and N; H 3.5m elsewhere), with a level, circular summit (diam. 5.5m) defined by a low, broad earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; H 0.1-0.65m). The bank is highest at W (H 0.65m) where it is revetted by a course of horizontal and a course of vertical shale slabs (L 2m) on its internal face. An ESB pole stands at the S foot of the mound. A ringfort (KD015-035----) lies c. 75m to the NW.
