The National Monuments Service's description
A souterrain (CL015-008002-) on the E bank of the Knocknskeagh River and named ‘Cave’ is shown on the OS 1836 6-inch map within a hachured enclosure (diam. c. 38m). A similar hachured enclosure (CL015-008001-) is shown hachured immediately across the river on the W bank in Knockaskeagh townland. On inspection in 1998 no above ground remains of an enclosure on the E bank could be seen.
