The National Monuments Service's description
Ua Cróinín and Breen (2005, 8-10) noted some vestiges of a section of linear bawn wall c. 15m W of Derryowen tower house (CL011-023----). On Digital Globe (2011-13) a possible rock-cut fosse is visible between the bawn wall and the tower house.
