The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the Carran plateau, immediately W of Carran village. An irregular enclosure (max. diam. c. 100m NW-SE), one of 5 prehistoric enclosures on the plateau (Jones et al. 2011, 46, fig.4, Enclosure 2). It is defined by three arcs at W with walls similar to another of the 5 enclosures c. 500m to the SE (CL010-015001-) dated to the Late Bronze Age (Gibson 2007, 1-29). A hut site (CL010-224----) lies within the enclosure and appears to be contemporary. A later field wall traverses the enclosure NW-SE. A field system (CL010-231---) is associated to the SE. (Hennigar 2008, 63-8; Jones et al. 2011, 44-9)
