The National Monuments Service's description

On level ground on a gently N-sloping semi-karst plateau in rough pasture, with widest views from N to S and within an extensive field system (CL017-180----). This small, poorly preserved subcircular cashel (int. diam. 19.5m N-S; ext. diam. 23.1m N-S) is defined only by the W half of its collapsed wall (Wth 1.8m), curving from SSW to N. The outer wall-face (max. H 0.5m) is visible within this wall collapse, especially at WNW-N. The interior slopes to the N and E and there is a souterrain (CL010-200002-) S of centre. A later drystone wall is built over the cashel wall from W to N, while another later straight wall extends NNW-SSE through the middle of the cashel. Other later drystone walls are built around the cashel.
